Pokmon-like DokeV made waves at Gamescom this week for its big re-reveal. Rockstar is an original song used in the DokeV official reveal trailer. The official channel states these creatures live "side by side with humans and encourage people's dreams from which they gain stregnth." According to Pearl Abyss, the Dokebi are legendary creatures from Korean mythology and folklore, representing world passions and dreams of the humans that live among them. The music has that charm you find from fun K-pop music as well. The trailer itself shows off some of the creatures, such as llama-looking Dokebi (the in-universe name for the creatures themselves). DokeV is for PC and PlayStation and Xbox consoles, and at the moment, the publisher is looking at a release sometime after 2022. It's an interesting aesthetic - hyper realistic visuals in the background with cartoonish looking character models, all rendered with the same high fidelity Pearl Abyss is known for in their major title, Black Desert Online. At the center of it all is the player, riding around on skateboards, slinging through the air like Spider-man, all set to an energetic KPop track.
