Thanks to the development of multi-touch attribution SaaS, marketers have an affordable way to look impartially across channels and understand where their ad spend is working best, giving them ample data to prove how their efforts can improve the bottom line. But at the time, marketers made do because any measurement at all was better than a prohibitively expensive measurement. Early versions of multi-touch attribution cost upwards of $10,000. ![]() While those attribution methods provide some value, it’s easy to see why marketers would want a complete view of buyers’ journeys and plan their campaigns accordingly. If a customer clicked on a Google ad one day, clicked on a Facebook ad the next day, and then bought a product after seeing both ads, each platform gives itself full credit - leaving marketers unsure how to accurately judge performance within multi-channel campaigns. Customers are exposed to marketing campaigns on both platforms (or on additional platforms) before buying a product, yet each channel credits only itself for the conversion. Determining which channels deserved attribution for each conversion was such an experimental and expensive endeavor that they had to rely on free, if imperfect, tools.īoth Facebook and Google offer pixels that allow site tracking and analysis of conversions that occurred with those visits, but it is often the case that such results don’t paint the full picture. Until recently, if marketers wanted to measure attribution for their campaigns, they didn’t have much choice. What marketers didn’t know before multi-touch attribution The rise of multi-touch attribution solutions, like those developed by LeadsRx, allow marketers to see exactly how much credit multiple channels should receive for each conversion. Accurate attribution has been the goal ever since marketing pioneer John Wanamaker uttered his apocryphal quote, “Half the money I spend on advertising is wasted the trouble is, I don’t know which half.”īut what was once just a dream is now within easy reach. To be fair to the industry, this wasn’t a new problem. ![]() Just under a decade ago, the marketing industry faced a big problem: If attribution is such an essential metric to gauging success, then why don’t marketers have tools to measure it accurately across multiple channels?

![]() Many Wide XGA panels do not advertise their native resolution in the standard timing descriptors, instead offering only a resolution of 1280×768. Specifying 1368 pixels as the screen width would yield an unnatural screen height of 769.5 pixels. ![]() For 1366×768 pixel Wide XGA panels the nearest resolution expressible in the EDID standard timing descriptor syntax is 1360×765 pixels, typically leading to 3 pixel thin black bars. To be fully expressible, the size of wide screen display must thus be a multiple of 16×9 pixels. The number of vertical pixels is calculated from the horizontal resolution and the selected aspect ratio. This means that many graphics cards cannot express the native resolutions of the most common wide screen flat panel displays and liquid crystal display televisions. Even in cases where the DTDs were read, the drivers are/were still often limited by the standard timing descriptor limitation that the horizontal/vertical resolutions must be evenly divisible by 8. Some graphics card drivers have historically coped poorly with the EDID, using only its standard timing descriptors rather than its Detailed Timing Descriptors (DTDs).

![]() Customers are also required to take service under a time-of-use (TOU) or real-time pricing (RTP) rate to be eligible for this program. There is a minimum curtailment commitment of 100 kW, or 15% of the monthly average peak demand (whichever is larger). The incentives are up to $11.50 per committed kW per month, even if no events are called. Customers receive a monthly incentive payment or credit based on the size of the curtailable portion of their load, in return for committing to reduce to the FSL when called upon by the utility with 15–30 minutes' notice, depending on the utility. The Base Interruptible Program (BIP) offered by PG&E, SCE, and SDG&E pays participants to reduce electric load to (or below) a level pre-selected by the customer (called the firm service level or FSL) that is below its historic average maximum demand.Incentives under this program are either $300/kW or 100% of total actual eligible project costs, whichever is less. SCE also offers the Auto-DR Express program to customers with a peak demand between 50 and 499 kW. Eligible equipment includes energy management systems and software, wired and wireless controls for lighting, HVAC, thermostats, motors, pumps and other equipment capable of receiving curtailment signals. The incentive is $200/kW (up to 75% of total equipment and installation costs) for measured and verifiable automated load reductions. Auto-DR uses communication and control technology to automatically implement the customer's chosen pre-programmed load reductions, providing a fast and reliable way to respond to peak events, while still leaving the customer in complete control. Participation is open to customers enrolled in a qualifying DR or time-varying pricing option (PG&E’s Peak Day Pricing or SCE's and SDG&E's Critical Peak Pricing program). The automated demand response (auto-DR) offerings of PG&E, SCE, and SDG&E provide free technical assistance and generous incentives to customers for installing automated DR equipment.PG&E, SDG&E, and SCE, as well as the California Independent System Operator (CAISO), offer a number of statewide programs: Interested customers may subscribe between April 1–15 of each program year. The program is only available to customers with demand that exceeds 3,000 kW, and participating customers must agree to curtail at least 1,000 kW at a single service point. Bill credits are issued monthly based on the kilowatt (kW) capacity that customers agree to curtail and TEP's "market value capacity price" (MVCP). TEP provides 30-minute notices prior to an interruption. TEP also offers the Interruptible Service Program to commercial customers for agreeing to electric service interruptions during times of high demand. The program provides quarterly bill credits to customers who agree to be notified by TEP during high demand events and asked to reduce their energy use according to an "energy reduction plan," which they design in collaboration with TEP. Tuscon Electric Power's (TEP) Smart Demand Response (SmartDR) Program offers large commercial and industrial customers the opportunity to reduce energy costs by reducing energy use at times of high demand. Capacity and energy payments of $40 per kW and $0.09 per kWh, respectively, are paid to customers for reducing their energy consumption. Events last anywhere from 1–5 hours on a maximum of three consecutive days. The program runs from June 1–September 30, and events can be called anytime between 4 and 9 p.m. APS provides 60 minutes notice prior to an interruption. The program is offered through CPower and allows customers to earn revenue for being available to curtail load on short notice when the grid is stressed. APS also offers the time-of-week price plan demand response program to its commercial and industrial customers. These rates provide utility bill savings for customers who can shift electricity use to off-peak hours, particularly during the summer. Both APS and SRP offer time-of-use rates for commercial customers. ![]() Activities and events in the music department provide a rich musical environment for the university and greater community.Ĭlarke University is committed to fostering a welcoming campus community that celebrates the unique contributions of each person and promotes an inclusive learning environment.
